Hi, my name is Scott and I am new to this.
I was born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee. My life has been an interesting journey to say the least. I grew up in a small part of town in a small town community church where everyone knows everyone. At the age of 16 I felt called into the ministry but was young and foolish so I ran from it. At 18 I wised up a little and told God that I would go where He needed me to go. By 19 I had joined the Army as a Chaplain Assistant and thought I would do 4 years and then get out and use the free college money to go to school. Boy was I wrong (seems to be a common theme). I ended up spending 18 years in the Army and spent just as much time running from God as I did chasing after Him. In 2016, I was medically retired after back surgery and now I get to grow a beard and not do PT every day.
I am very happily married to an amazing woman named Beth who constantly puts up with more than she should. Being married to me means she gets to raise three boys; our 2 sons Cole (6) and Liam (2) and me being the 3rd child. I have lived all over the world and have made some amazing friends and saw God in the big and the small things.
This is the short version and if you keep reading this blog you are sure to learn plenty about me as I usually poke a lot of fun at myself in my writing.
