John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
This is a new journey for me and something that I am not an expert in at all. For starters, I am not great at writing so please forgive any typos as I am sure there will be plenty. Secondly, I am in no means a biblical scholar. This is a journey that I believe God has laid on my heart and I feel that it is a journey I am meant to share.
Recently, it seems that more and more young adults are leaving the church for one reason or another and many of them are not looking back. In past generations young adults have left the church as they leave home but many of them have made their way back into church later in life. This is not the case with current generations. As I start this blog I seek to examine why this is happening.
This journey started a few weeks ago for me when I felt led to email 4 friends of mine or each have their own unique story but have grown to a place where God is not a reality for them. These are 4 individuals whose opinions I respect and value. It is important to note that as I entered into this discussion I knew that dissecting every comment and debating each point would not be conducive to a great discussion. I also told myself that I can only show the love of God through my actions and responses to their comments.
In the coming days I hope you will join me as I post my thoughts on connecting Jesus to a Millennial Generation
